Ready, Steady, Quit is a face-to-face service and is free to people who have decided to stop smoking who:
- ‘live, work, learn or play’ in the Auckland or Waitemata DHB regions. That's Central, East and West Auckland, as well as the North Shore and up near Wellsford.
- and who are eligible for publicly-funded health services.
The free service consists of a four-week, face-to-face programme in which you are supported through your quit journey by a qualified expert in stop smoking techniques. The programme provides choice and is flexible to meet your needs. For example, you can choose either group-based sessions with peer support and expert advice or one-to-one sessions.
